AFRICAN BLACK SOAP

Description

Black soap is made from the ash of plantain, cocoa pods, palm tree leaves, and shea tree bark. The leaves and bark are sun-dried and then roasted at a constant temperature. Then water, honey and various oils including palm oil, coconut oil, palm kernel; shea butter and cocoa pod powder are added to the mixture and the soap left to cure. The plantain skins give the soap Vitamin A & E and iron. Black soap is sulphate free and oil rich so does not strip out moisture from the hair.
